Edge of Care

Focus Findings Care Services focuses mostly on strengthening and enhancing the lives of families in crisis. Our family support team partners with families and the community so that children, young people and their families can thrive together. All our interventions are family-focused and are designed to assist families in crisis by improving parenting and family functioning while keeping children safe. Focus Findings Family Care Services have recognition that children need a safe and stable family and that separating children from their families can be traumatic for them, often leaving lasting negative effects. Our services build upon the conviction that many children can be safely protected and treated within their own homes when parents are provided with support that empowers them to change their lives. Our team of family support workers believes in engaging with children, young people and their family to develop a plan that focuses on alleviating any identified issues impacting on the child/young person and their family in order to prevent progression of the child or young person into the care system.
